Every year the question comes up as to how much UNLESS has raised throughout the years. The answer to that question is one that cannot accurately be determined. Each year we have a total on the check that we give to the American Cancer Society but that number does not do all of the donations justice. UNLESS is a year round group that collects funds at many different times. Kids putting on lemonade stands, car washes, can collecting in wagons, brat fry's, Mac's baseball games, anything and everything to help out people they don't even know. After doing this for so long it has no longer become about the money. Yes we love to see a big total on that check because we know that it is going to help many many people but money is not what drives us to do this. The want to do something amazing for someone who needs our help is what drives the UNLESS program.  UNL:ESS has expanded over the years to where we now do more things locally for community members battling cancer. Care packages with blankets, gift cards, and hand written notes are what gets distributed to those in our community. Donations that go toward helping make the care packages are donations that we love and value but do not end up in the total for the ACS. That is why the total amount raised is unknown, we get so many donations that end up helping in so many ways that we cannot measure our true total raised. Instead of measuring the amount of money raised, we like to think of all the people that we have positively impacted throughout the years and that number is worth more than any dollar amount.
